I’ve been interested in the Johari Window model for a long time and decided to check which online tools really help you get to know yourself. I tried different sites and want to share my impressions.

Johari-window.net

First, I visited johari-window.net. This service stands out right away with its structure.

The test runs smoothly: you choose your qualities, send a link to your close ones to answer, get the results, and can view examples and analyze all the information.

There’s even a whole catalog with different options – convenient if you want to take the test in different contexts (work, family, friends).

I also liked that the project has been around for a long time – it shows that it’s proven over time. There’s a privacy policy and terms of use, which gives a sense of a serious approach. The interface is simple, with no extra steps or ads, so the process feels easy and clear.

And there’s even an option to connect AI analysis of the results – that’s modern and really useful.

Overall, it feels like the site was created not just “for show,” but as a full tool for self-development.

But I like to compare, analyze, and find the best solution. I did find another Johari Window website: https://johari-window.com/, but, to be honest, it can’t compare with the first one. Now I’ll explain why. I’ll call it: Another site with a similar name.

Another site with a similar name

Then I tried another resource. At first glance, it looks similar – you are also asked to choose traits of your character and behavior.

You can even see that the developers had the idea to create a design.

But then a problem appears: there are no results, no examples. The test seems to stop halfway.

On top of that, the site has almost no information: it’s unclear who the creators are, how the data is processed, or whether privacy is protected. That’s concerning. The design looks empty and unfinished, as if the page is still in development. It feels like the site exists only for show and doesn’t bring real value.

Honestly, I tried several times to use this site again after a while, but only once did I manage to get results. That’s why I broke down all the functionality “to the atoms” and presented comparative arguments in a table:

Results of My Search

After this experience, it’s clear: johari-window.net is a working, useful, and safe tool. It helps you look at yourself from the outside, build self-esteem, and improve relationships in a team or family.

The other site still looks raw, doesn’t inspire trust, and is unlikely to bring real value.

The conclusion is simple – you should trust only proven services that really work and deliver results.
